A customer was inspired by a famous art “Lizard”, 1942 from Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher. So he asked me if it is possible to paint the bike in that style. We accepted this challenge…
We transfered basic layout via pre-prepared foil templates. It was not easy because the tubes shapes, welds etc.. You know, bike is not a flat plate…
Since we got all the basic lizards on the frame, fork, stem, fenders etc.. we could start with airbrush for all the small details like eyes, fingers.. One colour lizard set took approx 3 hours, but the final look is quite nice.
Tech-based customer asked to use Shimano XT Di2 M8050 groupset with inner battery inside a seat post.
You can charge battery directly thru this control display (Control Unit SC-MT800) so you do not have to remove a battery from the seatpost.
Of course there is internal cable routings for Di2 stuff as well we for rear and front brake.
MAX1 Carbon Evo XC rims has great weight 390 gr for 30 mm outer width. We customized their design a bit just to match design to the entire bike.
Chris King InSet7 is the quality for entire life time.
